Prague Castle Guard took a new Iveco Bus Crossway

Friday 13 December 2013 took the commander of the Prague Castle Guard Colonel Ing. Radim Studený at the headquarters in the Loretánská street new bus Bus Iveco Crossway 10.6 m. The new coach was delivered To Prague Castle Guard by authorized dealer Iveco Bus company Tezas Service a.s., as based on winning the tender of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic.

New bus Iveco Bus Crossway 10.6 m is equipped with Iveco Cursor 8 EEV engine and in addition to equipment such as air conditioning, folding seats, etc., which is now the norm, has several specialties, respecting the essential needs of the members of the Prague Castle Guard. Skibox at the rear of the bus is treated as a wardrobe of uniforms, weapons containers in the luggage compartment, conservator of batteries and other arrangements for the transport of a particular material of Prague Castle Guard allow for a much wider range of applications in the performance of tasks deriving from the Act No. 219/1999 Sb. about the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic.

"Bus Iveco Bus Crossway will be used mainly to transport troops in urban to training operations and the transfer of the Prague Castle Guard to the Presidential Summer Residence in Lány " said Col. Ing . Radim Studený, commander of the Prague Castle Guard and adds: "From the new bus we expect the economics of operation and reliability. This is a prerequisite for good performance of the tasks of the Prague Castle Guard."  It is also important to reduce dependence of Prague Castle Guard on civilian contractors of transport services and thereby increasing the ability to guarantee the transport tasks by own resources. Thanks to special modifications will be transport of the Prague Castle Guard troops provided by only one vehicle, which greatly reduces the cost of transport from the status quo.
