New Holland Agriculture launches a major upgrade of the TD5 Series, a range of tractors popular with traditional livestock dairy and livestock farmers for its reliability and versatility, as well as the outstanding value it offers at a very competitive price point. With more torque and lift capacity, the upgraded range delivers more productivity than ever with excellent fuel efficiency. The new cab layout further improves the operator’s comfort and visibility all round and on the loader.

Luca Mainardi, Head of Tractor and Precision Land Management Product Management, comments: “The TD5 is ideal as a robust secondary tractor on feeder mix and loader, and it is very appreciated as a multipurpose tractor. This significant upgrade has further increased its operating flexibility, and its advanced features make it a great package that will deliver excellent value to farming businesses.”

New Tier 4A engine: more torque for greater operating flexibility and more fuel efficiency

The top four models feature a new 3.4 litre Common Rail engine developed by FPT Industrial that develop between 86 and 114 hp and up to 457 nm torque. The lower rated speed of 2300 rpm means greater engine flexibility and lower fuel consumption – up to 11% less for the TD5.85 and TD5.95 compared to the previous models. Maximum power is achieved at just 1900 rpm and available right up to 2300 rpm, resulting in higher productivity in all applications, including PTO and high speed road transport. These models meet Tier 4A emissions standards with FPT Industrial’s Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation solution. The clean combustion of the engine results in longer oil change intervals, now at 600 hours.

New hydraulic system: up to 100 l/min total flow for demanding applications

The capacity of the hydraulic system has been increased on the four biggest models, which are now available with an optional high capacity pump delivering 63 litres per minute flow. With this higher hydraulic flow, the TD5 can carry out general farming tasks and demanding applications such as bale wrapping with ease.  In addition, a dedicated steering pump delivers 37 litres per minute. This means that the steering stays light while maintaining loader cycle times.

Increased rear linkage lift capacity: up to 4700 kg with twin assist ram on top models

The lift capacity of the category two rear linkage has also been increased to 3565 kg for all models. This enables the TD5 tractors to work with the heaviest rear mounted implements with ease. The productivity of the 3 top models can be increased even further with the new twin assist ram option, which raises the maximum lift capacity to a massive 4700 kg.

These models are also now available with Lift-O-Matic™ Plus system, which enables the operator to lift and return an implement to a pre-set working depth at the headlands by just activating its ergonomic lever. Productivity boosting features also include the optional quick attach rear links for fast hitching without leaving the cab.

More loader lift capacity and lift heights: designed for loader productivity

Front loaders are fully integrated in TD5 Series tractors, which are compatible with the New Holland 700TL front loaders. Lift capacities range from 1509 kg to 2539 kg and lift heights from 3 m to 3.7 m. The low mounting points of the front loader have lowered the tractor’s centre of gravity, providing greater stability when transporting full loads in the fully extended position.

More comfort and improved visibility with ergonomic controls layout and A post exhaust

The excellent ergonomic layout of controls has been further improved. Together with the new dashboard with PTO and vehicle speed indicators, these improvements add to the operator’s comfort. The new exhaust position on the A pillar provides an unobstructed view, enabling the operator to work with greater preciM
