First appearance of the STEYR CVT T4B with the new municipal frame with EURO III System Adapter / EURO Level IV thanks to Hi-eSCR on CVT 6150 to 6240 / On top of everything with the Multicontroller

Unveiled to the public at the Agritechnica trade fair with the municipal frame 2.0, the Steyr CVT T4B is an all-rounder that sets new standards in terms of municipal performance capability: The new municipal frame with EURO III System Adapter is now installed in a more rugged and therefore even more capable construction. The 'EURO III' designation indicates the size of the municipal attachment plate, 'System' for the wide range of different versions, such as three different lengths, and 'Adapter' for the standard interface for attachment of commonly used municipal implements to the carrier vehicle, perfectly adapted to suit this tractor. "The Steyr CVT T4B with the new municipal frame rounds off our comprehensive series of municipal equipment at the top end of the range, extending from 58 to 240 hp. This equips municipal authorities and their service providers with an exceptionally capable total package that also offers great retained values and optimum practical benefits", stated David Schimpelsberger, the product manager responsible at Steyr for the Municipal & Forestry business.

Important product details

The new modular municipal attachment plate is characterised by a range of noteworthy details. These include, together with the integrated towing hitch, removable tabs for implement pivot screw connections. The entire municipal frame is designed as a rigid screwed unit without bolts and its three lengths of 210 mm (standard), 330 mm and 450 mm cover the implement requirements of all  commonly used attached implements.

The new, reinforced design assures a high level of protection for the torsion moment. Furthermore, the new municipal frame and its front-mounted lifting gear are interchangeable and come with a choice of screwed unit or suspended mounting solutions. "Our municipal frame 2.0 is available ex-factory in loader-ready conditionincluding electrical changeover to front loader operation. Four or six connections, free return action and the standard seven-pin receptacle assure maximum versatility – and as an option, an additional front-mounted PTO shaft, offset transmission and locking front axle are available", stated Schimpelsberger.

Top-level efficiency with FPT engines and Multicontroller

With its modern FPT Industrial engines, as powerful as they are fuel-efficient, Steyr is superbly positioned for farming and forestry applications as well as for the municipal sector. The CVT 6150 to 6240 use the tried and tested Hi-eSCR technology from FPT with EURO level IV. The Steyr model range, extending from 58 to 150 hp, complies across the board with EURO Level IIIB.

All Steyr municipal models are available with Multicontroller, perfectly matched to operation of the various model series. This enables the driver to control vehicle and attached implements easily and in a relaxed manner. "Whenever these tractors are equipped with electronically controlled front lifting gear, for example, this can also be operated using the Multifunction lever. There is an additional switch on the back of this lever that makes it possible to switch between front and rear lifting gear. This means that the driver has full control of all the important functions", emphasised Schimpelsberger.

At this year's Agritechnica trade fair, Steyr will be exhibiting a CVT T4B with the new municipal frame, with the EURO III System Adapter and with the full municipal equipment package, as well as a Kompakt with the innovative forestry protection equipment and other items.
