The agricultural holding Miratorg has taken official delivery of 49 IVECO Stralis Natural Power (NP) 460 trucks. One of the largest producers and distributors of meat products in Russia, Miratorg has chosen the Stralis NP 460 for its environmental performance, which is consistent with the company’s sustainable policy. The Stralis NP 460 combines sustainability, performance, productivity and autonomy to perform the most demanding long-distance missions. It features the latest-generation 12-speed Hi-Tronix automated transmission and has been fully tailored to operate in Russia, as proved by the qualification tests conducted by Miratorg before finalizing their purchase. IVECO Russia also conducted a training session on the vehicle’s design and efficient operation for the customer’s drivers.
The Stralis NP 460 features the IVECO 13-litre Cursor 13 NP Euro VI engine, which delivers 460 hp and 2,000 Nm torque – a performance similar to its Diesel equivalent. It is among the best-in-class in terms of power-to-weight ratio, horsepower, service interval and silent operation. This vehicle maximises the environmental advantages of natural gas: its proven technology delivers a 99% reduction of PM and 60% of NOx compared to Euro VI standards. The Stralis NP 460 also delivers lower Total Cost of Ownership, resulting from the excellent fuel efficiency and the lower cost of natural gas compared to Diesel, as well as the 90,000 km service intervals – longer than any Diesel equivalent on the market.
Roberto Camatta, IVECO Business Director for Russia and Belarus said: “Miratorg company is one of the first companies in Russia to appreciate the advantages of gas technology in commercial transport – a technology that IVECO has pioneered. We are pleased that they have placed their trust in IVECO and our natural gas-powered Stralis NP. We are confident that the new Stralis NP 460, which was crowned “Sustainable Truck 2019”, will prove its effectiveness as a long-haul transport vehicle in Russia, as it makes its debut in Miratorg’s fleet.”
