New Holland unveiled the new and upgraded CX6 Series combine harvesters for the Russian market
New Holland unveiled the new and upgraded CX6 Series combine harvesters for the Russian market at the Golden Niva exhibition 2018. The all-Russian combine harvester, which is locally produced in Naberezhnye Chelny, sets new standards of productivity and versatility.

New Holland took part in the Golden Niva exhibition 2018, where it launched its new CX6 Series combines and exhibited the CX6.90 model. This combine harvester is ideal for farmers such as cooperatives, mixed farmers, medium cash crop farmers and contractors, who require the highest levels of versatility for crops and field conditions. Also on display at the show were the TD5, T6050, T7060 and T8.380 tractors, together with New Holland’s new own-brand ploughs and an LM1345 telehandler.

The CX6 Series benefits from New Holland’s long history of harvesting excellence, which dates back to 1952, when it launched the first European self-propelled combine harvester. This rich heritage has resulted in the revolutionary design and 11 automatic systems that the grain mass encounters in today’s New Holland combine as it works its way from the header to the chopper. The CX Series stands out for its extraordinary reliability and flexibility, as confirmed by the numerous customers around the world.

The new CX6.90 model is equipped with a reliable 9-liter FPT Industrial engine with a maximum output of 333 hp. It delivers unparalleled quality and performance in every field and every crop found across Russia, even in fields with high yields. The larger grain tan, with a capacity of 9300 liters, and fast unloading speed of 106 liters per minute guarantee the combine’s high productivity levels.

The rubbing action of the 60cm-diameter drum gently but firmly releases all grain kernels from the ears in even the thickest crop layer. With a wrap angle of up to 121 degrees, the concave rubbing area is ample. The drum speed adjustment and fine concave setting are cab-controlled, adding to the combine's productivity and ease of operation.

The cleaning efficiency of New Holland CX6 combines matches their high threshing and separation capacity. Large adjustable sieves, moving in opposite directions, and a powerful fan delivering an even distribution of air, are complemented by ingenuous extra features: the Triple-Clean™ cascaded cleaning system and the award-winning Opti-Fan™ system that adapts the air flow to the longitudinal slope of the combine.

The design of the inclined chamber was improved in the new model: a third roller in the middle of the inclined chamber improves work in clogged and damp conditions. In addition, the combine operator can program an inclined chamber into two cutting heights, and adjust the pressure on the soil.

New Holland conventional combines are often the preferred choice of contractors, who value their high productivity, convenience and speed in switching crops, and simple daily maintenance with minimal number of lubrication points and easy-to-access service points. Together with the long service intervals, this means they will spend more time in the field. CX6.90 harvesters can add to customer profitability with the high quality of the grain: the special design of the threshing drum guarantees the percentage of crushed grain does not exceed 1.5%, and the percentage of microdamage is reduced to almost zero, which results in grain and seeding materials of the highest quality.

For a perfect harvest, the New Holland team has developed five types of headers ideally suited to the working profile of CX6 combines: High Capacity, Varifeed, Superflex, corn headers, and roller pick-up.
