New Holland tractors increasingly top of mind among new generation of Thai farmers

Thailand’s Department of Land Transport reported a 19% year-on-year surge in New Holland tractor registrations in the first half of 2023, compared to the same period in 2022.

Vareesa Netcharassang, Marketing and Sales Manager of New Holland dealer, Muangthai Tractor, attributed this increase to the growing popularity of New Holland among young farmers, highlighting the durability, cutting-edge technology, and strong resale value of the brand.

While the older generation leaned towards smaller tractors with simpler functionality, today’s younger farmers place a high value on technology, aesthetics, and user-friendly features, making New Holland tractors top of mind. She added that customers who have been purchasing from them for generations attest to the excellent reliability of New Holland machines.

“Durability is the standout feature of New Holland tractors, along with advanced tech, connectivity, and comfort features. There are farmer families that have tractors that have been in use for decades and still have good resale prices,” Vareesa Netcharassang shared.

Angkun Mahaboonpanchai, Managing Director at New Holland dealer, Por Tractor Kamphaeng Phet Limited Partnership, meanwhile highlighted that in addition to its durability and performance, New Holland’s after-sales support is also appealing to the younger generation of Thai farmers.

Price and promotions greatly influence customer choices. The New Holland tractors are widely recognized for their outstanding performance, efficient fuel consumption, and intuitive design.

“New Holland offers a variety of models and horsepower options, allowing our customers to choose the product that best suits their needs and their budget. More importantly, their after-sales support is excellent,” Angkun Mahaboonpanchai said.

“At Por Tractor, we emphasise the importance of product training, available spare parts, repair, and maintenance at dedicated service centers.”

In August, New Holland launched the Tai Loon Chokh (Scroll to Win) promotion to reward its loyal customers in Thailand, giving away more than THB 9 million in special prizes, including Isuzu V-cross pickup cars and Honda motorcycles to customers selected in the lucky prize draw following their purchase of a New Holland tractor within the promotion period.

New Holland, a brand of CNH Industrial, is continuously innovating products and marketing to address the diverse preferences of farmers worldwide. “Equipped with invaluable insights from our dealer community, we’re poised to provide not just the best products but also the best service. New Holland is strongly committed to empowering the next generation of farmers and ensuring sustainable food production for generations to come,” said Niran Tangchuthongchai, New Holland Sales & Marketing Director.
