New opportunities in the New Zealand agriculture sector for CNH Industrial

Release Date: 01 Jul 2022
CNH Industrial AG ANZ

CNH Industrial to manage the distribution of its Case IH and New Holland Agriculture branded machinery in New Zealand, embracing the chance to go directly to its customers, via its existing dealer network.

CNH Industrial has begun a new chapter in the New Zealand agricultural sector, bringing back in house the distribution of its Case IH and New Holland Agriculture machinery to dealerships across the country.

From July 1, CB Norwood Distributors (trading as “Norwood”), will no longer have a distribution agreement in place to wholesale Case IH and New Holland machinery. Norwood’s retail footprint remains unchanged.

Brandon Stannett, Managing Director, CNH Industrial Australia and New Zealand said both companies recognise the benefits of the new arrangement and reached an agreement in September 2021 to transition responsibilities for wholesale activities back to CNH Industrial.

“Now, almost a year later and after a necessary transition period, that arrangement officially comes into place, beginning an exciting new chapter for our brand in the dynamic New Zealand market,” Brandon said.

“We see this as an opportunity to position CNH Industrial closer to the Case IH and New Holland dealer network and, of course, to our customers. With increased customer centricity, we will be able to better understand their needs and serve them more efficiently.”

During the transition period CNH Industrial focused on strengthening its New Zealand sales and marketing teams to ensure the Case IH and New Holland dealer network has the support it needs to grow their business footprint and serve customers to the highest standard.

“Our team has been working hard over the past 10 months to ensure everything’s in place for the July 1 official changeover, so now that it’s here they’re looking forward to rolling out the new systems and processes that we’re confident will deliver efficiencies across the network with regards to service, financing and parts supply support,” he said.

“Our dealers have been closely involved in the transition process and are enthusiastic about capitalising on the opportunities the new arrangement offers, for the benefit of their customers and the long-term strength of the Case IH and New Holland dealer network.”
