Case IH s Austoft harvesters gain traction among Thai sugarcane farmers

In Thailand's sugarcane belt Chaiyaphum, a quiet revolution is taking place. Pimon Suphapphet, a second-generation sugarcane grower, has become a champion of sustainable modern farming.

Pimon, who owns six of Case IH’s technologically advanced Austoft harvesters, is among many Thai farmers who are placing their trust in Case IH to farm more efficiently and sustainably at a lower cost.

The Thai market has been moving towards Case IH technology since Pimon’s return from Australia in 2011, where he witnessed first-hand the capabilities of the brand’s renowned harvesters.

Pimon said the new Austoft 9000 performed exceptionally well in comparison tests. “I was quite satisfied with its features after comparing it with other products. All the good reviews and recommendations from friends who have Case IH harvesters further convinced me. Now I own six of them!”

Since launching in Thailand last year, the Austoft 9000 has brought mechanised sugarcane harvesting to a new level. The Austoft 9000 series is rated highly for its powerful engines, intelligent hydraulic system, and a raft of innovations that allow for greater harvesting capacity at a lower operating cost.

Pimon has been leveraging Case IH machinery for more than 10 years. In being a loyal Austoft customer, he said fuel efficiency, the cost-effectiveness of machine parts, and the availability of 24/7 support service are the top reasons why he has strong confidence in the brand.

“We’re pleased to know that Case IH is a trusted name in Thailand and more farmers are reaping the benefits of great iron and great tech,” said Dithapan Hurakit, Case IH South East Asia Marketing and Technical Support.

Sales of the Austoft product series have been increasing steadily over the past few years, according to Dithapan.

Equipped with a Smart Cruise intelligent engine, the Austoft 9000 harvesters are designed to optimise fuel consumption and facilitate easier harvesting. The series also boasts the Case IH Technology Package, which, along with the harvesters' simplicity in operation and low operating costs, cements Case IH as a cost-effective choice for Thai farmers.

“Austoft delivers high performance even in the most challenging conditions, making it suitable for sugar cane plantations in the region. At Case IH, we’re committed to supporting farmers with best-in-class machinery and exceptional customer service, ensuring Thailand’s leading position in the global sugar-ethanol industry,” Dithapan added.
