The AFS Connect Steiger was launched by Case IH in 2020 and now four years on, Australian farmers will be introduced to the latest updates in the award-winning range.
There’s a rich history behind Case IH’s Steiger tractor, which turns 65 this year, and which continues to evolve, with the likes of higher horsepower options and the addition of advanced connectivity that allow producers to configure, connect and then manage the tractor remotely.
The MY24 Steiger range raises the bar again, and has been launched to the Australian market at AgQuip at Gunnedah this week ((AUGUST 22-24)), with a number of new models and increased levels of cab comfort and AFS Connect data management technology.
“The Steiger has become the benchmark for power, efficiency and performance in high horsepower tractors, and the updates on this new range not only reinforce this reputation, but respond to the need for greater levels of productivity and sustainability within modern farming operations,” said Justin Bryant, Case IH ANZ Product Manager, High Horsepower Tractors.
The new MY24 AFS Connect Steiger model offering comprises:
- Rowcrop Wheeled models from 425 – 525HP;
- Wideframe Wheeled models from 555 – 645HP;
- Scraper models 555 – 645HP;
- Quadtrac models from 475 – 645HP; and
- Rowtrac models from 425 – 525HP.
Under the bonnet, there’s an updated FPT 13L cursor engine providing greater power and faster engine response across each model along with improvements in Fuel/Fluid efficiency.
An exterior and in-cab overhaul includes:
- Newly designed cab roof styling with integrated overhead grab rails for operator security;
- Updated cab interior with new headliner, overhead console and ram mount rails;
- The option of a second AFS Pro 1200 display option from factory;
- A new premium sound option, with an amplifier, tweeters, 6.5-inch subwoofer with ported box and additional speaker grills;
- Enhanced LED lighting package with greater output options for 360-degree night lighting visibility; and
- Additional front console storage.
