The Company celebrates its tenth anniversary in Córdoba with investments, products focused on artificial intelligence and cutting-edge solutions for its customers

CNH Industrial, a global leader in agricultural and construction equipment, celebrates 10 years of continuous production at its factory in Ferreyra, located in the industrial belt of Córdoba.

On May 7, 2013, the Company officially opened what is today a plant that meets the highest manufacturing standards and produces world-class equipment for customers in Argentina.

With an initial investment of USD $110 million, this story dates back to 2011, when the foundations of what was to become the current factory were laid. The plant has an annual installed capacity of 2,000 combine harvesters and 4,000 tractors.

"This anniversary is a source of pride, and motivates us to continue being a leader in the manufacture and marketing of agricultural equipment in Argentina. We are committed to continuing to contribute to the growth of the Argentine economy and to generating employment in the country, through investment in technology, in employee training and by strengthening of our domestic supply chain,” said Marcus Cheistwer, Country Manager, CNH Industrial in Argentina.

USD $30 million for factory expansion, new products and services and a network of more modern dealers.

Since 2021, the CNH Industrial has invested about USD $30 million in the development of manufacturing, purchasing, product marketing, and engineering departments, as well as in the dealer network to industrialize new products and improve the sales experience. in addition, its dealer network invested in real-time connected centers for Case IH and New Holland equipment.

Investment in the plant focused on improving production flows, increasing production capacity, expanding warehousing, creating new areas and generating jobs.

The company made significant improvements to its line traceability system under the ‘Poka-Yoke’ System and reorganized storage areas.  Employee safety and comfort were central, and to this end we developed a fire control room, purchased new firefighting equipment and created a new fire guard position.

Investments in the manufacturing area included new electronic tools, the expansion of areas dedicated to producing new products, redesigning to improve internal flows and new areas for subassembly.

To improve plant flows and achieve greater resource efficiency in terms of logistics, new industrial vehicles were acquired for supply and storage, utilizing the building’s full height through vertical storage systems. In addition, a new goods receiving area was built to increase storage capacity.

New test cells were acquired for the combine harvesters equipped with artificial intelligence produced at the plant. This technological innovation, using advanced software, conducts comprehensive testing of the machines’ componentry and sensors.

The investments also encompass the plant's Training and Innovation Center, which trains more than 2,500 technicians from Argentina and other South American countries annually.

Another highlight is the opening of New Holland Agriculture Intelligence Center and Case IH AFS Connect Center. These remote monitoring and diagnostic centers operate in the plant and provide real-time service to customers with the support of highly qualified specialists.

Artificial intelligence: the future of agriculture, today

The incorporation of artificial intelligence in agricultural equipment has revolutionized the sector thanks to the integration of sensors, automatic learning algorithms and systems that allow data to be collected, processed and analyzed for better decision making in the field.

CNH Industrial through its Case IH and New Holland Agriculture brands manufactures harvesters in Córdoba that incorporate these technologies with a view to improving the efficiency and precision of operations, reducing operating costs and crop yields.

The Axial Flow 250 series combine harvesters feature AFS Harvest Command Automation. This intelligent auto-adaptive system features four harvesting modes that, thanks to 16 sensors positioned in the machine’s systems, delivers up to 15% more productivity, in addition to simplifying field operations.

This system manages nine functions which were previously the responsibility of the operator. Today, the operator selects Grain Quality, Balanced Performance, Maximum Yield or Fixed Yield mode, and the machine will automatically prioritize this choice. The result? The machine makes up to 1,800 parameter modifications every day, without operator intervention.

The New Holland CR 7.90 Intellisense combine featuring the MY PLM Connect connectivity solution is also manufactured at the facility. This platform enables field, fleet and operational data to be monitored and managed any time and from anywhere - optimizing time and improving productivity.

Thanks to its integrated sensors and technologies, data updates are received every 20 seconds, making near real-time adjustments as harvest conditions change.

With this innovation, the operator can pre-configure the machine according to their production strategy, such as minimizing losses or maximizing throughp

Closer to customers and leading service

Case IH and New Holland Agriculture are expanding their dealer networks, by opening and modernizing branches, expanding service areas, workshops and technician training.

Within this framework, Case IH developed eight new projects focused on connectivity and the installation of the AFS Connect Centers in its dealerships between 2021 and 2023. In addition, the brand is expanding into new regions with the opening of two new branches.

New Holland Agriculture’s Smart Dealer concept, introduced to modernize dealerships through digitalization, connectivity and integration of key services through its Intelligence Center, will soon be rolled out to every dealership.

"Our brands continue to demonstrate why CNH Industrial is one of the most innovative companies in Latin America. We are truly customer focused and that is why, together with strategic partners such as our dealers, we are investing heavily in customer service through digitalization and connectivity," Cheistwer concluded.
