The Case IH range of Puma 140-240 tractors is being revamped for 2020, with a new design, as well as additional features for improved operator comfort on the Puma 185-240 models. As before, the range remains split into two distinct lines – the compact Puma 140-175 models and the larger Puma 185-240 tractors.

New styling and Stage V engines
All Puma models are powered by 6.7-litre FPT Industrial six-cylinder engines, and the Puma 140-175 now meet Stage V emissions regulations with Hi-eSCR technology – Puma 185-240 models already comply. The engines are now protected by a distinctive new hood with the latest Case IH family styling, incorporating upgraded road and work lights as established on the larger Case IH Optum and Magnum tractors. The road and work lights upgrade now offers up to 40.000 lumen in its top LED specification. All Puma Stage V models are 100% HVO Diesel and biodegradable oil approved plus offer lengthened engine (750hr) and transmission oil (1,500hr) change intervals meaning fewer oil/filter changes over machine lifetime, lowering cost of ownership.

Further upgrades for Puma 185-240 models
The new premium styling extends to the cab itself, with items such as, gas strut covers and a new premium steering wheel having been upgraded to match. Cab entry and exit are made safer by new lighting for the redesigned access steps, and an optional wash tank is now fitted adjacent to these to allow operators to clean their hands before entering the cab and operating the controls. Operator comfort has been enhanced by the fitment of an optional premium DAB radio with speakers and microphone for hands-free mobile phone calls. Further additions to the cab interior, designed to further ease operation, include a document storage compartment, a more compact rear-view mirror. Access to and visibility of electronic devices is made by the fitment of a new monitor rail including sockets, mobile phone bracket and tablet holder.

In addition to the new styling, lighting and cab features mentioned above, the Puma 185-240 models benefit from further upgrades. The storage position for the rear linkage top link has been improved to meaning it stows away more neatly when not in use, and does not impinge on visibility to the pick-up hitch, PTO and any attached implement. Meanwhile, a new front linkage design aids access and response, new remote operation buttons for easier hitching. Further new options include a pneumatic air line that can be connected to multiple ports around the tractor, and can be fitted with a hose and gun for blowing away dust and debris.
