CNH Industrial Receives Environmental Award at Industry Event
One of the world’s leading producers of industrial equipment and commercial vehicles was recognized for its dedication to the environment at the North American Automotive Supply Chain Awards.
CNH Industrial N.V. (NYSE: CNHI / MI: CNHI) was honored for Environmental Awareness at the inaugural North American Automotive Supply Chain Awards. The capital goods leader, which designs, produces and sells agricultural equipment, construction equipment, commercial vehicles and powertrains, was recognized in front of hundreds of supply chain and automotive industry executives on April 22 at an awards dinner and presentation at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
An industry leader ranked in the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Dow Jones Sustainability Europe indices, CNH Industrial won the award for its dedication to the environment and the continuous improvement of its sustainability performance. The award was presented to Prasanna Iyer, Director of Supply Chain and Logistics, North America, by Automotive Supply Chain magazine and Three6Zero Media, publishers of Automotive Supply Chain magazine.
“We are honored to receive this award as we actively promote activities that focus on protecting the environment,” said Iyer. “Sustainability has become an integral part of CNH Industrial’s daily approach to business, serving as a compass that guides the integration of environmental and social concerns with those that are strictly business related.”
The Environmental Awareness award was one of 15 presented to companies or individuals at the black-tie event. An independent panel of eight judges from companies spanning the automotive supply chain industry voted on the winners after reviewing more than 250 nominations.
“Our heartiest congratulations to CNH Industrial,” said Peter Wooding, CEO of Three6Zero Media and Editor-in-Chief of Automotive Supply Chain magazine. “The awards recognize and celebrate excellence in one of the most important and critical sectors within the automotive industry—automotive supply chain and logistics. With the North American automotive supply chain and logistics industry gathered, it was important to recognize the industry’s achievements.”
This North American award once again demonstrates CNH Industrial’s commitment to the environment and sustainability. The capital goods company was ranked in 2014 as an Industry Leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe indices in the Machinery and Electrical Equipment industry. This was the company’s fourth consecutive year in the Indices’ top position, an honor given following the careful review of the participating companies’ activities in the field. In addition, CNH Industrial has been named a CDP climate disclosure leader with a score of 98 (out of 100) and a CDP climate performance leader with a score of “A” (on a scale of “A” to “E”) for acommitment to reducing carbon emissions.
