FPT INDUSTRIAL LEADS VENICE BOAT SHOW WITH ITS LATEST MARINE ENGINES

The ancient Arsenale, symbol of the historical naval industry of Venice, is hosting the 2019 edition of the Venice Boat Show from June 18th to 23rd, when FPT Industrial is displaying its latest marine engines for commercial and pleasure applications.
 
Balancing a contribution to the Floating City of art and technical expertise, FPT Industrial is exhibiting a true record line-up, which encompasses four engines defined by state-of-the-art technologies, reliability, performance and design. 

C16 1000

The C16 1000 was developed for light commercial and pleasure applications and distinguishes itself for providing top performance and compactness. With a 16-liter displacement and 6 cylinders in-line, its power can reach 1,000 hp at 2,300 rpm, placing itself among the best performance engines of the category. In 2018, with a specific racing configuration, this engine achieved the Guinness World Record of speed for Diesel engine boats, reaching 277.5 km/h.

C9 650 has a displacement of 8.7 liters, latest generation Common Rail, an architecture of 6 cylinders in-line and can deliver a maximum power of 650 hp at 2,530 rpm. These features, combined with compactness and lightness, place the engine at the top of its category. The engine also stands out for its reduced environmental impact, reduced consumption and high navigation comfort. Thanks to the high reliability, durability and reduced operating costs of the commercial versions, this engine today powers the famous ferries of the public transport of Venice.

N67 570 EVO

Combining high performance with a lightweight and compact design, this 6.7-liter engine delivers 570 hp at 3,000 rpm, with maximum torque of 1,551 Nm at 2,000 rpm, ensuring top performance for fast and light planing boats. The use of high technologies ensures reliability and compliance to the most stringent environmental certifications for the marine sector. Thanks to this engine, FPT Industrial has won prestigious European competitions, such as the Cowes-Torquay-Cowes in 2008 and broke the speed record at the Cork-Fastnet-Cork route in 2018.

N40 E + HM 560
Low operating costs, reliability and durability are the main strengths of this 3.9-liter engine. It can deliver up to 250 hp at 2,800 rpm for recreational purposes and it is also compliant with the most stringent European emission standard for inland waterway (IWV Stage V) for the power ratings of 170, 150, 100, 85 hp at 2,800 rpm.

For hybrid propulsion, FPT Industrial exhibits this IWV Stage V engine with a Transfluid HM 560 module, offering the flexibility of running both on Diesel and on electric batteries, taking advantage of the efficiency of each mode for an optimized consumption and reduced environmental impact, whether on pleasure or commercial applications.
 
A lithium battery bank powers the electric engine, delivering zero emission and silent navigation. This is ideal to pass through protected areas or bays located in delicate environments, reducing emissions, average consumption and costs. The internal combustion mode is intended for safe long-distance navigation, during which the batteries can be recharged.
