Austrian Minister Andrä Rupprechter welcomed by CASE IH at Expo

The Austrian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water, Andrä Rupprechter, at Expo

The Austrian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water, Andrä Rupprechter, visited agricultural machinery manufacturer Case IH at the USA pavilion. The visit took place during the occasion of Austria Day at Expo Milano 2015, the universal exhibition whose core theme is "Feeding the Planet. Energy for Life.”

The Austrian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water, Andrä Rupprechter, was greeted at Expo Milano 2015 by Christian Huber, Senior Director of CNH Industrial Austria, and Rudolf Hinterberger Case IH Business Director, Austria.

In a presentation to the Minister, Mr. Huber explained that, as a leading global agricultural machinery brand, Case IH was pleased to support Expo’s theme of Feeding the Planet. Energy for Life: "Case IH is a long trusted partner of professional farmers worldwide, and its innovative, efficient and resource-saving products and solutions support the sustainable production of agricultural goods."

ogether with Minister Rupprechter, Mr. Huber discussed the need to meet current demands adequately, and most importantly how to feed a global population that is expected to reach nine billion by 2050. Case IH has deep roots in the United States and a history that stretches back to 1842. The brand takes a role of responsibility in addressing the question of feeding the planet, an issue that affects both present and future.

Case IH and fellow CNH Industrial brand Steyr produce a number of different tractor series up to 270 horsepower in St. Valentin, Lower Austria. This manufacturing facility is an important employer in the region, providing 600 jobs.
