Infrastructure Consortium for Africa
The Company discussed intelligent mobility at an event promoted by the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa, underlining the importance of promoting solutions that are both “smart” as well as sustainable for the African continent.

CNH Industrial N.V. (NYSE: CNHI / MI: CNHI) participated in the 13th annual meeting of the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa (ICA). The meeting was organized by the African Development Bank in collaboration with the Italian government. The meeting was opened by Mario Giro, Italian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which included the participation of numerous representatives of European and African institutions and international organizations.

CNH Industrial was represented by Michele Ziosi, Head of Institutional Relations Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, who described the need for developing intelligent and sustainable mobility in the African territory. Mr. Ziosi also underlined the deeply rooted presence of the Company and its brands on the continent, with products such as commercial vehicles, buses and quarry and construction vehicles (IVECO and Astra), agricultural machinery (Case IH and New Holland Agriculture) and power generators (FPT Industrial). Thanks to its widespread commercial network, the Company, which also operates production facilities in Africa, covers almost all African countries, offering advanced equipment and solutions in the areas of transport, agriculture and construction.

CNH Industrial has positioned itself as a steadfast partner in Africa with respect to the challenges related to its economic and social development, and in particular regarding the process of urbanization and the increase of commercial trade among African countries. “Both the use of consolidated technologies enhanced to their maximum efficiency as well as the use of natural gas and biomethane as alternative fuels represent valid, sustainable solutions with great potential. We at CNH Industrial are able to offer both, not only for transport but also for agriculture, in order to face the growing demand for the connectivity and mobility of persons and goods in Africa,” explained Ziosi.

The Infrastructure Consortium for Africa is an initiative that began in 2006 following the G8 summit in Gleneagles, Scotland. The main goal of these annual meetings is to accelerate the operations that were put in place to respond to Africa's infrastructural needs by offering concrete support for the economic growth and sustainable development of the continent.
