The award recognizes contributions to the local business community and volunteerism
Chelsea Givens, an employee of CNH Industrial Capital, earned the 2018 Young Professional of the Year honor from the Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce (RAMAC) for her involvement with the local business community and her commitment to volunteerism. Givens accepted a transfer to Racine, Wisconsin, USA from New Holland, Pennsylvania, USA in March 2018. Shortly after relocating, Givens made engaging with fellow residents and connecting with business and service organizations in her new community a top priority.
The Young Professionals of Racine (YPR), a RAMAC membership program, works to attract and engage professional talent to help Racine’s community flourish. CNH Industrial (NYSE: CNHI /MI: CNHI) is a long-time supporter of RAMAC and YPR, providing professional development and personal growth opportunities through a variety of networking, social, volunteer and educational events. Since 2003, the YPR has presented the Young Professional of the Year to a member who exhibits leadership, business acumen and a commitment to serving the community.
“I am proud and honored to be recognized as the organization’s young professional of the year. It was important to me to make a connection with this community right away, not only through my professional network but also as a Racine resident,” said Givens.
Givens’ award nomination honors, among many other activities, her dedication to YPR through planning career development events in Racine. Her individual participation in charitable organizations also contributed to the recognition; in past years, Givens ran 105 track laps (the equivalent of a marathon) to fundraise for The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Additionally, Givens is involved in the Big Brother Big Sister program, Habitat for Humanity, The National FFA Organization and Toastmasters.
“Chelsea is out there getting to know people. Racine is not just where she works; she is really embracing the community,” said Anna Clementi, operations coordinator for the RAMAC. “She absolutely does what she says she is going to do,” Clementi said.
Ms. Givens joined CNH Industrial Capital in New Holland, Pennsylvania in 2015 after completing a Bachelors’ in Business Administration and Management, earned while working full-time. In Givens’ current role as a wholesale support analyst, she supports dealers and acts as a liaison between CNH Industrial Capital and the company’s brands. She plans to complete a Masters’ in Business Administration in May 2019.
