U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan Visits CNH Industrial’s Agricultural Plant in Racine

The congressman met with company management, toured the facility, and participated in a town hall forum with employees at the Wisconsin facility.

CNH Industrial N.V. (NYSE: CNHI / MI: CNHI), one of the world’s leading producers of industrial equipment and commercial vehicles, hosted Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) at its Case IH agricultural equipment manufacturing plant in Racine, Wis., today.

Congressman Ryan, Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, met with Richard Tobin, Chief Executive Officer, and Brad Crews, Chief Operating Officer for North America, as well as members of CNH Industrial’s North American management team at the company’s plant in Southeastern Wisconsin to discuss manufacturing and trade issues.

“Our employees around the world are tied together by a common purpose, to be a leading provider of products and services to professional industrial equipment and commercial vehicle customers,” said Richard Tobin, Chief Executive Officer of CNH Industrial. “Congressman Ryan is attuned to the needs of our company and has been a supporter of trade policies that will continue to allow our products to compete in both our domestic and export markets.”

“There is robust demand for Wisconsin-made goods across the globe and we need to make sure our businesses and workers successfully reach the 96 percent of consumers that live outside the U.S.,” said First District Congressman Paul Ryan. “There is no doubt that Wisconsin’s manufacturers, including CNH Industrial, will benefit from expanded trade policies.”

Following his meeting with senior leaders, Rep. Ryan toured the plant and engaged with employees during a town hall forum. The town hall provided an informal setting where CNH Industrial employees were able to voice their opinions and ask the congressman questions that concern them. Topics discussed included manufacturing, trade issues, and economic issues. The congressman also participated in a ride and drive on the company’s new Case IH Magnum Rowtrac.

“Employee commitment is vital to the success of any manufacturing company,” said Nate Burgers, plant manager. “Today gave Rep. Ryan the chance to meet the hard-working employees in Racine that produce premium agricultural equipment with market-leading technology for farmers around the world.”

The Racine plant manufactures equipment for CNH Industrial’s agriculture brands, including Case IH and New Holland Agriculture. CNH Industrial employs approximately 2,400 workers in Wisconsin, where both the Case IH and CASE Construction Equipment brands were founded. Of the company’s production in the state, 40 percent is exported to 130 countries around the world.
