The FPT Industrial engine plant in Turin, Italy, achieved success during a recent audit by independent, trained auditors. The facility manufactures NEF, F5 and Vector series engines.

FPT Industrial, the powertrain brand of CNH Industrial N.V. (NYSE: CNHI /MI: CNHI), has received a Silver Level World Class Manufacturing (WCM) certification for its engine plant in Turin, Italy. FPT Industrial designs, develops, manufactures and offers a range of propulsion and transmission systems and axles for on- and off-road applications, as well as engines for marine application and power generation.

WCM is one of the global manufacturing industry’s highest standards for the integrated management of manufacturing plants and processes. It is a system based on continuous improvement, designed to eliminate waste and loss from the production process by identifying objectives such as zero injuries, zero defects, zero breakdowns and zero waste.

The Turin plant follows in the footsteps of its sister sites: the driveline plant, also based in Turin, Italy and engine plants in Bourbon Lancy, France and Foggia, Italy. It represents a world class center of excellence for Diesel engines, providing the custom solutions to a wide spectrum of customers with specific needs for various applications. The facility is specialized in the production of NEF, F5 and Vector series engines and employs a workforce of over 1,000 people.

CNH Industrial has 61 plants around the world involved in WCM, now totaling 11 silver and 21 bronze level designations. The widespread use of WCM principles at CNH Industrial manufacturing facilities allows the entire company, totaling some 69,000 employees across 190 countries, to share a common culture based on efficient processes and on a language universally recognized across all plants and countries in which CNH Industrial operates.
