FPT Industrial announced today a new strategic partnership that allows Southwest Products, a top manufacturer of power generation solutions and leading distributor of diesel engines, to represent FPT in the western United States.

Based in Surprise, Arizona, USA, and founded in 1967, Southwest Products designs and manufactures a variety of generators, in both mobile and stationary configurations, power packs, pumps, and industrial power units. In addition, the company also designs custom service vehicles and industrial tanks. Southwest Products’ new FPT Industrial territory includes the states of Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Hawaii and Alaska.

In recognition of the partnership, FPT Industrial joined Southwest Products at its exhibit space at the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California, USA. Visitors to Southwest Product’s lot enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about a variety of FPT Industrial engines.
FPT Industrial has produced 607,000 engines globally in 2017, corresponding to one engine at every minute. FPT’s power generation lineup stands out because of benefits such as compactness, wide range of options for flexibility, low oil and fuel consumption and long maintenance intervals for reduced costs, and high performance guaranteed in all conditions. The Brand’s portfolio comprises power generation engines for both unregulated and regulated emissions, such as the Tier 4 Final. Some of the products available for the North American market are:
FPT Industrial offers a series of G-Drive engines for markets that do not have regulated emissions, with a power range from 30 to 550 kWe, which are switchable between 1500 and 1800 rpm. Typically, in the region, these products are focused on applications for the Caribbean markets.
For the Tier 3 emissions regulation, FPT provides G-Drive engines with a power range from 40 to 350 kWe, also switchable between 1500 and 1800 rpm. The focus of these units are emergency stationary applications.
Tier 4 Final
Focused on the latest and most strict emissions regulation, FPT Industrial’s Tier 4 Final engines are equipped with the renowned and patented HI-eSCR after-treatment system. Besides ensuring compliance with the emissions standards, this technology is the result of the Brand’s experience of more than 25 years in SCR solutions development – FPT has already sold more than one million SCR units worldwide. The engines have a power range from 50 to 400 kWe and are focused on rental applications.
