Technology launch headlines another big AgQuip for Case IH

Release Date: 15 Aug 2018
AgQuip 2018 was a chance to celebrate a massive year for Case IH, and that momentum is continuing to the 2018 field days
Case IH showcased the future at last year’s AgQuip with its Autonomous Concept Vehicle (ACV), and this year that theme continues, but with a focus on a new technology platform that will give farmers the answers they need at the touch of a button.

After a huge 2017 AgQuip, where Case IH celebrated its 175th anniversary and welcomed the distinctive ACV to Australia for the first time, the company is continuing that momentum with another significant presence at this year’s premier field days event at Gunnedah from August 21 to 23.
The huge double marquee that made its debut at last year’s event is back, along with an extensive machinery line-up that will show off the latest tractors, combines and fronts, sprayers and balers, along with a few surprises.

Case IH’s Advanced Farming Systems (AFS®) is front and centre, and visitors to the Case IH site will get a unique look at the rapid progression of this technology and how it’s working to boost the bottom line for farm businesses.

Visitors will get front-row seats at the launch of the new Case IH cloud-based tool, ClearVu.  This has been a number of years in the planning, design and field testing stages, with the ultimate aim to assist farmers navigate increasingly complex farm management decisions.

With much of inland NSW in drought, Case IH Australia/New Zealand general manager Pete McCann said the company was acutely aware many visitors to AgQuip this year would be feeling the impact, and that the need for technologies that could help with planning decisions and  management strategies, particularly during testing conditions, was increasingly important.

“At Case IH we are in touch with our customers and dealers on a regular basis and we are very much aware of the challenges they are facing in the current dry conditions. We will continue to work closely with our customers, supporting them as much as possible through this time,” Pete said.
“We know how tough things are on the land at the moment, and the toll it’s taking on those who rely on agriculture for their living. So, this year, we want to encourage people to call in to our AgQuip site, grab one of our free coffees, and take some time out from the relentless pressure of the drought. There’s a lot to see and our staff are looking forward to meeting visitors and answering any questions they may have.”

This year’s site will feature another impressive machinery display, with everything from the mighty Steiger CVT down to the versatile Farmall tractor range, which will include the Farmall JXM in its official Australian launch.

“The JXM Series has the power and performance Farmall owners have come to expect, but in a very cost-effective package,” said Seamus McCarthy, Product Manager Mid Horsepower and Compact Tractors, Case IH Australia New Zealand. “Visitors to AgQuip will be among the first in Australia to see this new addition to the Farmall family in the local market, and we’re keen to show just what it can do.”

AgQuip visitors can find Case IH at Site M-N/21-25, where they can meet Case IH staff and dealer representatives and also pick up some of the latest toys and merchandise.
