Held at the Royal Hall of Industries in Sydney yesterday, participants were grouped into teams and paired with high profile chefs from some of Australia’s top restaurants. Each team then prepared a meal under the guidance of the chef, which was later served to guests.
As well as receiving a delicious meal, guests also had the opportunity to share time with people who they might not otherwise have the chance to engage with.
On the night, the event itself fed and entertained over 1,300 people in need, while fund raising through the sponsorship of participants, will help OzHarvest reach its target goal of raising $2 million.
Among the executives representing CNH Industrial were company CEO – ANZ, Michele Lombardi; CFO Michael Jonson and new IVECO Business Director, Bruce Healy.
Mr Lombardi said he was very pleased to have participated in the event with his team.
“The OzHarvest CEO CookOff is an extremely worthwhile event that makes a genuine difference to people who sometimes go without even the most basic necessities, such as food,” he said.
“We began to partner with OzHarvest several years ago after learning about the wonderful work the organisation does on a day to day basis, salvaging quality, unused food that would normally go to waste and providing it to community members that are doing it tough.
“Congratulations to the organisers, participants and guests, it was a great event and we look forward to supporting OzHarvest in the future.”
