It can be said that Bauma China is the biggest and most important Construction fair in the Asian region. Also this year, FPT Industrial is proud to have its dedicated booth where it will showcase its latest innovations and technologies. During the Bauma event, FPT Industrial will launch its China IV engine line-up, provide a preview of the new telematics solutions and showcase its ready-to-use installation pack for a China IV compliant After Treatment System (ATS).
CHINA IV PRODUCT LAUNCH
Starting from 2020, China will have to respond to a new emission regulation standard for off-road applications: China IV. In order to do so, FPT Industrial has developed its well-proven solutions that guarantee great performance while complying to the upcoming legislation. FPT Industrial launches its China IV product line at the Bauma China 2018 in Shanghai, from Nov 27th to 30th (Hall N5, Stand 110).
Different operating conditions require different ATS solutions, and FPT Industrial could count on its long-lasting expertise to find the right response to the upcoming China IV requirements.
To comply with China IV legislation, the NEF and Cursor engine families feature the HI-eSCR2. This FPT Industrial's patented ATS solution integrates a particulate filtration system on an SCR module and combines all key after-treatment elements. HI-eSCR2 is designed to comply with China IV and Stage V, offering one solution for both the Chinese and the international markets. FPT Industrial’s ATS system ensures best-in-class power and torque density and requires a very easy installation. Furthermore, the advantages for end-users also involve the Total Cost of Ownership: the HI-eSCR2, in fact, adopts an after-treatment system “for life”, which means that there will be no maintenance costs over the lifecycle.
Besides the NEF and Cursor families, FPT Industrial also presents the F34 engine compliant with the China IV regulation. This is FPT Industrial’s compact solution, designed for light applications and that also delivers high performance and low operating costs. F34 China IV adopts a DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) + DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) after-treatment system, thus without requiring the installation of the SCR module.
All these perks are possible due to the great know-how that FPT Industrial has collected over the years, always being at the forefront of competitors. FPT Industrial, in fact, started developing the SCR technology at the end of the nineties, and the first patent filed for the SCR application was in 2004. Then, in 2005, FPT Industrial began to use particulate filtration technology for on-road applications (Euro IV), selling more than 1 million SCR and 2 million DPF on LCVs. FPT Industrial was also at the forefront in the Off-Road market, where the SCR was applied in 2011, whilst in 2013 FPT Industrial was the first to achieve an SCR efficiency higher than 95% in the On Road segment, avoiding EGR.
