CASE to show renewed offering for the Road Building, Urban, Recycling and Quarry industries at Intermat 2018
CASE for the Road Building industry
The proven 836C grader that will be on display meets Tier 4 Final emissions standards with the patented Hi-eSCR technology developed by FPT Industrial. This after-treatment system presents multiple benefits in terms of performance, reliability and economy. The 836C, with its unique technical solutions, provides operators with the comfortable ride and outstanding controllability that makes CASE graders segment leader.
CASE will also show the 1650M dozer, which is designed to drive up productivity: it features the premium SCR technology developed by FPT Industrial; the high-performance hydrostatic transmission with advanced cooling design delivers constant pulling capability; and a wide choice of dedicated equipment provides high versatility. The redesigned undercarriage is built for reliability, and all components are developed for a long working life to reduce maintenance costs and deliver a high level of performance in the heaviest conditions.
CASE’s offering for infrastructural works is complemented by sister brand IVECO’s brand new Stralis X-WAY. The new Stralis X-WAY range is specifically designed for construction logistics and urban missions. It combines IVECO’s best fuel-efficiency and safety technologies with the renowned off-road robustness of its toughest vehicles to deliver high productivity with outstanding Total Cost of Ownership. The Stralis X-WAY NP (Natural Power) on display, powered by IVECO’s industry leading natural gas technology, offers a further environmental advantage – a benefit for construction logistics operations in urban centres with restrictions on diesel vehicles and job sites operating 24/7 with noise constraints
Manoeuvrability and efficiency come first in CASE’s offering for the Urban segment
The CX145DSR crawler excavator is the perfect machine when space is limited, as in urban construction projects. The CASE SR models bring to the jobsite all the benefits of the D Series to get the job done in confined spaces with no compromise on performance. The machines offer best-inclass lift capacity, delivering high productivity across a great variety of applications. D Series excavators meet Tier 4 Final standards with a combination of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) technologies that helps maximize uptime and performance.
The CASE 695ST backhoe loader on display, which received an upgrade last year to meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards with the brand’s simple SCR-only solution developed by FPT Industrial. The upgrade also introduced a choice of backhoe geometry to match the different requirements of urban jobsites. The in-line geometry is the ideal choice for operators looking for exceptional breakout force and great reach, together with better visibility on the working area at the back of the machine. The CASE DNA boom geometry, on the other hand, is the perfect solution for tough working conditions, as the sliding part never touches the soil and the components that do are protected against impact and material accumulation.
Extreme agility is invaluable in urban jobsites, and the new CASE C-Series mini excavators have no equal. The CX17C on display delivers productivity, comfort and safety in tight spaces that is unparalleled in its category. The powerful hydraulic flow delivers outstanding digging efficiency and fast cycles. The auto shift-down function, which optimises traction and speed, and the joystickcontrolled auxiliary hydraulics enable the operator to get the job done even faster. The 2.6-ton CX26C on show stands out for its excellent working range, best-in-class reach and dig depth and ample boom swing angles. It is also extremely versatile, thanks to a rich offering of features: a choice of arm lengths, additional counterweights and rubber tracks are available. Also, the first and second joystick-controlled auxiliary hydraulics make it possible to use a wide variety of attachments. These two mini excavators belong to the new C Series, which offers a wide choice of models ranging from 1.7 to 6.0 tons for the urban jobsites.
With their best-in-class horsepower and bucket breakout force, CASE skid steer loaders deliver performance and productivity in the confined spaces of urban construction sites, together with the comfortable working environment and excellent visibility of the widest cab in the industry.
Also ideal for urban construction is the range of CASE compact wheel loaders. On the two smaller models CASE offers a choice of XT linkage versions for excellent reach, visibility and precise parallel lift or ZB linkage for superior breakout force.
Urban construction operators will also be interested in the IVECO Daily on the stand: this multiaward winning vehicle has built a solid reputation for its strength, versatility, performance and durability. The toughest of light commercial vehicles with the most lasting performance, it is the only one on the market to offer gross vehicle weights of up to 7.2 tonnes and payload up to 4700 kg. The vehicle on display is a Daily Hi-Matic Natural Power, part of the Daily Blue Power family, which provides sustainable and efficient solutions for urban missions and was recently crowned International Van of the Year 2018.
In the Urban segment area will also be an IVECO Stralis X-WAY in concrete mixer configuration. The CIFA electric mixer on a Stralis X-WAY NP is the first electric concrete mixer on a Bio-CNG truck. This vehicle not only delivers the advantages of extremely quiet operation and PM and CO2 emissions close to zero, but it also offers excellent operational features with an outstanding concrete load capacity of 8m3 – a capacity in line with the best diesel chassis.
Equipment designed for the harsh environment of the Recycling sector
CASE also offers the CX290D crawler excavator in Material Handling (MH) and Scrap Loading (SL) versions, which are ideal for the recycling sector. On the stand will be a CX290D SL, featuring a reinforced straight boom and gooseneck arm specifically designed to ensure performance, reliability and durability in this type of application.
The powerful SV340 vertical lift skid steer loader, also upgraded last year, delivers a big performance and outstanding bucket breakout force. The widest cab in the industry provides 360- degree visibility – a great asset when working in busy recycling and waste management facilities. The heavy-duty rear door that covers the radiators provides excellent protection in the harsh environment this machine operates in.
The IVECO Stralis X-Way Hook Lifter on the stand perfectly complements CASE’s offering for the recycling industry with its outstanding manoeuvrability, compact overall dimensions, ground clearance, traction and big payload.
CASE delivers massive productivity and reliability in the Quarry segment
The CX750D crawler excavator in the Quarry display is the largest and most powerful machine in the CASE excavator range. Launched at Steinexpo 2017, it delivers best-in-class productivity, operating at 512 horsepower with up to 366 kN of bucket digging force. It meets Tier 4 Final standards with minimal maintenance, no diesel particulate filter (DPF), no DPF regeneration or associated lifetime service costs. The undercarriage and front attachment have been reinforced in most of the D Series: in particular, the CX750D the machine is able to work in the heaviest conditions, ensuring maximum uptime.
Also on the stand will be the CX300D 30-tonne crawler excavator, which delivers best-in-class performance even in the tough conditions of quarries.
CASE crawler excavators can be relied on to deliver a consistently powerful digging and lifting performance. The energy saving features of their Intelligent Hydraulic System contribute to the remarkably low operating costs and high productivity.
The award-winning G-Series wheel loaders are a true asset for quarry operations. Their best-inclass windscreen size provides superior visibility and the high payload-to-weight ratio delivers maximum productivity. The G-Series offers a superior operator environment that includes the pressurized cab with HEPA and active carbon filtration options, a premium control interface, seatmounted console and joystick steering with speed proportional sensitivity.
The Quarry segment display will be completed with an HD9 8X6 Euro VI dumper version, representing the IVECO Astra range of vehicles designed for heavy off-road applications in oil & gas, mining, quarrying, heavy construction and heavy haulage. Every single detail, from the high performance driveline, simple design electronics, has been developed to deliver the highest levels of performance, strength and reliability in the toughest jobs.
