CNH Industrial on tour for the Telethon fundraiser

Company is once again supporting the Italian foundation’s campaign to raise funds for research into rare diseases. A number of initiatives promoted by its brands, particularly Iveco and New Holland Agriculture, will take place along the #caravanfortelethon route.

For the third year running, CNH Industrial (NYSE: CNHI / MI: CNHI) is supporting the Italian Telethon Foundation with its annual fundraising campaign. It is doing so through a number of initiatives involving its brands Iveco, New Holland Agriculture, CASE and FPT Industrial, together with employees and partner companies. Everyone connected with CNH Industrial is uniting in support of cutting-edge scientific research into the treatment of rare genetic diseases.

Firstly, the Iveco Promotional Mobile Unit will be touring Italy to help raise funds and awareness of the campaign. It will be accompanied by Caffarel, the Italian company synonymous with the city of Turin’s chocolate culture. Inside the Iveco vehicle, which will be specially decorated in Telethon livery, master pastry chef Sergio Signorini will be creating mouth-watering Gianduiotto chocolates, the iconic candies sold by Caffarel since 1865. The hope is that the tempting treats served up by the expert chef will also entice people to support the worthy cause.

The Telethon motorcade will make numerous stops, including: the CNH Industrial New Holland plant in Modena (Sunday, December 11), visiting employees and the general public in the presence of the local authorities; Piazza Affari in Milan (Monday 12 and Tuesday 13), the heart of Italy’s economic capital; the Caffarel plant in Luserna San Giovanni (Wednesday 14); and the CNH Industrial Village in Turin for the official gala (Thursday 15), which will be attended by representatives of the city’s institutions, as well as employees and citizens who make a minimum donation of €15. All proceeds will be donated entirely to the Telethon. The motorcade, which can be followed on social media with the hashtag #caravanfortelethon (#carovanapertelethon in Italian), will reach Rome on Saturday, December 17 in time for the conclusion of the Telethon, which will be aired by state broadcaster Rai.

In addition, Iveco and New Holland Agriculture have auctioned two vehicles from their ranges through the Charity Stars fundraising website (www.charitystars.com). Iveco has donated its New Stralis XP "Emotional Truck" heavy commercial vehicle in an exclusive Scuderia Ferrari livery. The New Stralis XP is widely regarded as the most reliable and efficient vehicle in its class on today’s market and, with its ability to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and CO2 emissions, it is a true TCO2 Champion.
New Holland has auctioned a T5.120 tractor with special exterior and interior livery created by the CNH Industrial Design Center. The tractor was recently awarded the Best Utility 2017 title by the Tractor of the Year jury for its versatility in the livestock and mixed agriculture sectors. CNH Industrial brands CASE (construction equipment) and FPT Industrial (engines and transmissions) have also contributed by making a direct donation.

Finally, for its employees in over 15 sites throughout Italy and Spain, CNH Industrial has teamed up with Caffarel to offer boxes of chocolate hearts bearing the message "I support research with all my heart", in return for a minimum contribution of €10, which will go entirely to the Telethon Foundation.
