HEULIEZ - receives single largest Electric 18m Citybus order from TRONDHEIM, 10 GX 437 ELEC with opportunity charging.
According to the tender the electric buses will be delivered second quarter of 2019.
These 18 m long electric buses with opportunity charge at terminus are equipped with Lithium Titanate Oxide batteries and an electric motor of 160/200 kW. With this concept, the energy stored is used to allow longer daily mileage without restrictions. The buses receive a fast charge of few minutes using a top-down pantograph.
The GX 437 ELEC has strong competitive advantages, offering high quality standards, reliability and excellent performances. The structure is made of 100 % stainless steel, the body is in composite panels for a lower weight and the chassis has a reinforced protection.
The passengers’ capacity is the best on this new Electric citybus market, enabling the GX 437 ELEC to transport more than 130 people according to European standards. These buses are equipped with air conditioning and a double heating system.
This order comes as a reward after years of research&development by HEULIEZ in the field of Citybus electrification. HEULIEZ - has also an installed industrial capacity already able to integrate this new generation of buses an electrified track with charging station provides a competitive advantage as the buses can be tested and approved in real running conditions, at its Rorthais plant in west of France. HEULIEZ can capitalize on its strong experience in electric powertrains developed during the last 5 years as HEULIEZ both pioneered and led the Hybrid citybus market development in Continental Europe with over 600 12 and 18m hybrid citybuses put in service since 2013.
This new full electric 18 m urban model is undoubtedly a new step in the development of clean and quiet city transport for the cities of the future.
