Release Date: 26 Nov 2013
Case IH Tractor working with AccuGuide RTK Technology

DLG test confirms the high tracking precision of the AFS AccuGuide RTK steering system / Even on uneven terrain only minor deviations from the set path were detected

The AFS AccuGuide RTK steering system from CASE IH has now excelled in a DLG Focus Test thanks to its extraordinarily great system precision in the range of three to five centimetres. In addition the test confirms very small deviations from the set path on uneven terrain and the testers verified that the system exhibits excellent long-term accuracy of three centimetres. The CASE IH AFS AccuGuide steering system was operated in the DLG Focus Test with an AFS 372 GNSS receiver, which was installed on a Puma CVX 160.

The accuracy of the steering system was determined by the DLG testers in the DLG GroßUmstadt test centre by means of measurements with an optical reference system. Alongside the accuracy test a check was also made of the steering system's handling characteristics in agricultural tractors. The testers confirmed the AFS AccuGuide system's great operating and display comfort.

Since not only American GPS satellites are used, but also the data from the Russian Glonass system, the system exhibited a high level of availability of GNSS signals. A detailed test report can be obtained from CASE IH dealers and is available as from now as a download on the CASE IH website or the DLG site:
