U.S. Representative Grothman Tours CNH Industrial Agricultural Equipment Plant
During a visit to the company’s New Holland facility in St. Nazianz, Wis., the congressman toured the site and met with management and employees.
CNH Industrial (NYSE: CNHI / MI: CNHI) welcomed U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-WI-6) to its New Holland Agriculture facility in St. Nazianz, Wis., yesterday. The congressman, who represents a portion of eastern Wisconsin in Congress, met with the local management team, toured the plant and learned about the equipment produced for the company’s New Holland Agriculture brand.
On his tour of the production line, he gained an in-depth perspective of the work carried out by the 175 employees at the facility and learned about the New Holland self-propelled sprayers and silage baggers produced on site. Members of management explained the background of the plant as well as the company’s approach to manufacturing processes and agricultural equipment.
The plant has been manufacturing agricultural equipment, mainly precision spraying equipment, since 1981. It was acquired by CNH Industrial in 2014.
“We are honored to show Congressman Grothman the significant work being done in St. Nazianz,” said Dick Brown, plant manager. “We take great pride in our business, people and processes, and are committed to manufacturing world-class agricultural equipment.”
“This visit is an opportunity to see the important contributions this facility and its employees make to the agricultural industry,” said Rep. Grothman. “Wisconsin is home to many of our country’s farms and agriculture production jobs and I know how important it is for CNH Industrial to have a strong workforce producing equipment that farmers rely on for their needs.”
Since 1981, the St. Nazianz plant has manufactured a key piece of farm equipment for today’s modern agribusinesses: sprayers. Available through the New Holland Agriculture portfolio, these New Holland and Miller self-propelled sprayers operate in crop fields to distribute fertilizer, herbicides, and crop protection products. The St. Nazianz facility also provides farmers with a full range of Ag Bag silage baggers that farms of all sizes can use as feed storage solutions.
CNH Industrial has 11 manufacturing plants, 12 research and development centers, and a workforce of 11,000 people in North America. The company designs, produces and sells ‘machines for work’ and is present in all major markets worldwide giving it a unique competitive position.
