North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and Labor Commissioner Michelle Kommer Visit CNH Industrial Manufacturing Facility
CNH Industrial (NYSE: CNHI /MI: CNHI) welcomed North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and Labor Commissioner Michelle Kommer at its Fargo, North Dakota, USA facility on Wednesday, May 30th 2018. The visit included a plant tour, meetings with plant employees, as well as a roundtable with company executives.
 
“Governor Burgum and Labor Commissioner Kommer discussed important industry topics with our executive team, including education, workforce development and the labor shortage,” said Leandro Lecheta, Chief Operating Officer, NAFTA, CNH Industrial. “We believe that it is crucial for manufacturers and other businesses to work together with state officials to develop programs that address these key issues, and help prepare our citizens to enter jobs in manufacturing, engineering and technological innovation.”
 
The Governor also discussed his vision for infrastructure development, and the demand-driven impact of the Bakken oil fields on transportation infrastructure and resources that result in challenges for other industries in North Dakota.

Established in 1974, the 86-acre facility is an integrated manufacturing facility producing 4WD tractors for Case IH, including the renowned Quadtrac, and New Holland Agriculture, and wheel loaders for CASE Construction Equipment and New Holland Construction. The facility features dedicated research and development and testing facilities. The site is the home of the Company’s most powerful tractor ranges and employs 550 people, exporting worldwide.
 
CNH Industrial has 11 manufacturing plants, 12 research and development centers, and a workforce of 9,000 in North America. The Company designs, produces and sells ‘machines for work’ and is present in all major markets worldwide giving it a unique competitive position.
