CNH Industrial hosts United States Senator Jerry Moran and Wichita Chamber of Commerce
“The equipment manufactured here is put to work in the United States and is exported globally,” said Jeffrey Bolander, CNH Industrial Wichita plant manager. “This visit highlights the importance of manufacturing to the local economy and how goods made here in Wichita affect the global construction industry — we’re honored to host Senator Moran.”
Established in 1974, the more than 11-acre Wichita facility houses both skid steer loader and compact track loader product manufacturing for both the CASE Construction Equipment and New Holland Construction brands, as well as dedicated research and development. The site employs over 400 people and exports to national and international markets. It produced its milestone 300,000th skid steer in March 2017, and was awarded a Silver Level World Class Manufacturing certification earlier in 2016.
“It should be a point of pride to all Kansans that we have two globally recognized brands that manufacture flagship product lines right here in Wichita with CNH Industrial,” Senator Moran said. “The manufacturing industry bolsters the economy of the entire state. I appreciated spending time today with staff and members of the local business community at the Wichita plant.”
Gary Plummer, President and CEO of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce was among the chamber’s 30 representatives from the Wichita on the plant tour with Sen. Moran.
“The CNH Industrial plant is a tremendous asset for the Wichita region. We’re delighted to be involved in this important visit by U.S. Senator Jerry Moran and appreciate the hospitality of Jeff Bolander and his entire team.”
