FPT INDUSTRIAL PRESENTS ITS F34 TIER 4 FINAL ENGINE FOR POWER GENERATION SHOWCASED IN A WINCO GENSET AT POWER-GEN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION

Release Date: Dec-05-2018
Winco RP 60 mobile generator equipped with FPT Industrial’s F34 47 kWe Tier 4 Final engine
FPT Industrial is participating in the Power-Gen International exhibition, in Orlando, (FL), United States (December 4th-6th, Orange County Convention Center, booth #3287), with a strong focus on new engines for power generation compliant with Tier 4 Final emission standards. As an example of this new offering, the Brand has one of its cutting-edge engines, the F34, in a Winco genset on display.
Based in Minnesota, USA, Winco is a manufacturer of gensets with a strong presence in the NAFTA market. With a 200,000 square foot facility, the company builds portable, emergency standby, prime diesel, and power take-off gensets. At FPT Industrial’s booth (#3287), the Winco  RP 60 mobile generator is equipped with a F34 47 kWe Tier 4 Final engine.
The engine is developed with customer needs in mind, featuring high performance while complying with the most demanding regulations. The new F34 47 kWe Tier 4 Final engine has an electronic wastegate turbocharger that, thanks to the electronic actuation of the bypass, allows an advanced calibration of the turbo for the best response to single and transient loads.
The 1,600 bar Common Rail injection system allows rapid and immediate engine response to all loads and high-frequency stability output for critical applications. The engine delivers best-in-class load acceptance (G3 up to 100%). The after-treatment system is “for life”: it does not require any engine downtime for filter replacement or servicing , nor any additional fluids or additives.
The new F34 47 kWe Tier 4 Final features a Plug & Play solution. This means that the cooling package and the after-treatment system are rack mounted on the engine, optimizing the layout and simplifying its installation and assembly. Moreover, a tropicalized cooling package (fitted as standard) enables the engine to work in extreme conditions (ATB up to 54°C).
Customers benefit from a reduced Total Cost of Ownership thanks to an industry-leading maintenance interval of 600 hours with the smallest oil system capacity 9.5lt. (-% less oil  than the competitor average). This is possible thanks to state-of-the-art technical solutions that maximize engine uptime with minimum oil quantity. Furthermore, filters mounted on the same side allow easier and faster accessibility for maintenance operations and further reduce engine downtime.
